(k) To consider in the light of the latest experimental findings the suitability
of the present location of the Gunpowder Depot, Dangerous Goods anchorages and other shore installations.
(1) To advise on the consequent revision necessary to Ordinance No.1 of 1873
and other Ordinances affecting dangerous or explosive goods.

Meanwhile steps to implement some of the Commission's recommendations to date include:
(a) ordering of an additional turntable escape ladder (paragraph 101 (i) of
the Report);
(b) consideration of a report by the Chief Officer, Fire Brigade, on the
question of the inauguration of an Inspection Department staffed with qualified Fire Inspection Officers (paragraph 101(e));
(c) discussion between the Chief Officer, Fire Brigade, and the Chambers
of Commerce of ways and means of controlling the storage and movement of Dangerous Goods (paragraph 101 (h)), and discussion with technicians of the Electric Light Companies covering the safety of electrical installations in godowns.
(a) transmission of information by the Marine Department to the Fire Brigade
regarding the arrival of vessels with dangerous goods on board (paragraph 101(a)). All transportation of these commodities in the waters of the Colony is on approved and certified lighters.
(e) a number of classes of dangerous goods are adequately labelled by their
suppliers and, in addition, one large godown company is now labelling these commodities with dangerous goods labels of its own (paragraph 101(b)).
